Goodbye Grandma

Yesterday, Vi Gura finished her time on earth and, after more than 100 years, is in heaven.  I’m certain she wouldn’t have wanted me to come see her in her final days, I do wish I could have said goodbye. … Read the rest of this entry

Frank Miley making Easter EggsToday is a day I’m not prepared for because today is the day my Step Mother has an estate sale with my father’s stuff.

I’m not upset she is having it as she clearly needs to. My father was a “collector” (bordering on hoarder) of many things. His office took a very long time to sort out. Like… months. So, I think it’s great that Kim is doing this to clear out the house and get some cash. My issue is that I don’t want to face the scene where strangers haggle for his belongings. I grew up with much of this stuff and I’m not looking forward to seeing others take it out of the house.

He is gone and there will be even fewer reminders of him after today.
